--Sacramento Homeschool Meetup Group Guidelines--

~Who We Are~
We are an organization for Christian homeschooling mothers and their children. The meetings and support focus of this group are especially designed for moms and kids, but there are sometimes events in which fathers are welcome and encouraged to come, too.

If you have not started homeschooling yet, but are seriously considering this excellent choice, we warmly welcome you to participate in our meetings and events.

~What We Do~
We meet regularly for field trips, park days, skating, bowling, and other fun ideas that pop up. We also have an Art Co-op run by Laurie and are excited about adding a Girls Teen Group soon, which will be led by Elaine.

Most of our activities are for mothers and their kids, but sometimes we meet for ?Mom?s Night Out? at Starbucks, etc. and leave the kids in the care of others.

~Our Purpose~
Our purpose is to uplift and encourage each other in this great adventure of homeschooling our children, facilitate networking among homeschooling families, and provide a social outlet for mothers and their children.

~Some Guidelines~
A few agreements laid out ahead of time can make things run a lot more smoothly for everyone.

1) Mothers, please monitor your children at all times when we?re together. We care about you and your little ones, and want our get-togethers to be a safe gathering. With this in mind, you?ll need to be with you children at all times; no drop-offs can be allowed.

2) Emotional and spiritual safety are important, too, as is good character development so please talk with your children before our meetings about appropriate behavior towards one another. We?re not looking for perfect kids (or moms) or we?d have zero attendance! But we are looking for a commitment to good character, respect, communication, and the basics: no hitting, biting, name-calling, etc.
When meeting in other member?s homes, it?s important to instruct your children to respect their house rules.

3) As a courtesy to everyone, arrival time for field trips should be 15 minutes early.

4) Nursing moms: If you?re breastfeeding, we?re extremely supportive that you?ve made this ideal choice for your baby and welcome you to nurse freely at our gatherings. Out of consideration for others, though, please make an effort to be modest in doing so.

5) While suggestions for meetup activities and locations are highly encouraged by all members (we want your ideas!!) only the designated organizers of the group will officially choose, arrange, and announce meetups. This is necessary for us to all be on the same page, and for access to meetups to be available to everyone.

Dress Code

6) The goal of the dress code guidelines is to honor God and to show respect for fellow group members and their children.

* No cleavage
* No Midriff
* No Mini Skirts
* Underwear should never be visible
* Shorts should not be too short

Profile Picture

7) It is a requirement to have a picture of yourself as your main photo in your member profile. It?s fine to have a family photo, as long as you are in the picture. And you are free to add as many additional photos as you like.

Attendance Policy

8) This is a ?Meetup? group, so you should be prepared to attend some of our events. We understand that you?re a busy homeschooling mom and will not be able make it to every event. We know that not every event will appeal to you and your children. However, we feel that in order to be considered a member of the group, you should attend a minimum of 1 event in a 6-month period. Members who do not meet this minimum attendance requirement will be removed. This way, the number of members will be a true representation of how many members are participating in our group.
