Welcome, Placerville Area Homeschooling Families!

Welcome to the Sierra Nevada Homeschoolers! We are homeschoolers who meet for field trips, which is our most popular activity. From time to time we also plan other social activities and some small group classes. Our group consists of families who usually homeschool by filing independently or attend homeschooling charter schools. We welcome all types of homeschoolers and all types of homeschooling methods!

Our meetups are centered in or near Placerville, California. If you homeschool and live in the greater Placerville area, you might consider joining our group! We have about 45 members and over 80 kids, ranging in age from 1 to 12 years old. If you would like to meet up with other homeschoolers in this area, please feel free to join our group!

You can join and participate in our get-togethers. If you want to become more involved, you can help plan various events and classes for our group. We hope to see you at one of our group get-togethers! The first month, you may preview the group for free. Then we collect $10.00 for the first year to support the group's web fees. If you choose to continue to be a member, your fees for each subsequent year will be $5.00.
