Hi, I recently ran across an ad in "Fort Worth Child" magazine for this school. I did a little research on it and it actually public school created for homeschoolers. So far I think it is a great idea. Looks like they provide the full curriculum. We are going to sign up and give it a shot.

The web site is www.k12.com/tx or call 866-360-0164.

I got this info from page 35 in the 11/2007 issue of the "Fort Worth Child".

I will keep you all posted.

Bye

Well, My son has received all of his books, his printer, and we will go pick-up his computer today. All provided to him by TXVirtualAcademy. We have started on the lesson plans. The required 6 hours a day or 30 hours a week (5 days) will take some goal setting but we can do it. He has a lot of catching up to do but they provide him the opportunity to test out of past lessons that we missed from earlier in the school term. I am so pleased with everything so far. I am thankful for the curriculum, the lessons plans, the activities online and off line, that they have provided. We have not been to a community meeting yet with Tx Virtual. I can't wait. I love it!

My sister in law did a similar program when she lived in Arkansas. It was called K-12, I think. She seemed to enjoy it. Good luck!
