Tallahassee Homeschool Meetup is intended for local families taking responsibility for educating their children by using resources in the home and community. Our focus is to further the education and socialization of homeschooled children grades K-5, though older siblings are welcome to join us too.
General meetings will take place twice a month on Saturdays at the new playground at Tom Brown Park, while the weather is nice; it will be great place for the children to meet each other and for us parents to discuss what ideas we have for get-togethers, projects, field trips, and just as important, share stories and information to further enrich the experience for us all.
There is a monthly membership fee of $10.00 to help cover the costs of organizing the meet-ups, buy supplies for activities and help reduce the cost of field trips for the group. New members are welcome to participate in 2 general meetings before a membership fee will be due. Members are encouraged to invite other families who are interested in joining us as their guests to events.
